Ongi Etorri - Welcome

Ongi Etorri! Welcome to The Basque Block!

The Boise Basque Block is the focal point for Basques and non-Basque near and far.

Numbering about 15,000, Boise's Basque community is one of the largest such communities in the United States. Boise area Basques are very proud of their unique heritage like all other Basque communities, but the Boise and Treasure Valley Basques have a unique area to call their own.

In a one-block area located on Grove St. between Capital Blvd. and 6th Street, you can find 3 Restaurants - Bar Gernika, Leku Ona & Bardenay, Biotzetik Basque Choir, Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture, The Basque Museum and Cultural Center, The Cyrus Jacobs Uberuaga Boarding House/Museum, The Fronton Association and Court, The Basque Market, and The Basque Center, home of Euzkaldunak, Inc, The Oinkari Basque Dancers, Boiseko Gazteak Basque Dancers , and Txantxangorriak among others.

Please take time to check out The Basque Block online. We hope you enjoy it enough to come visit!

Eskerrik asko! Many thanks!
